Unfortunately, consulting is often associated with man-days, daily rates and many, many pages of presentations. A quote from this nonsense as an example: “… created for 441 clients in the last 15 years: 160,181 flipchart pages and 441,139 PowerPoint slides.” [Source: nexpert AG] Wow! Do the math? That would be 1,000 pages per client … 133 a day!… What nonsense! Is that what you want?

We have been thinking through, developing, adjusting, restructuring, reorganizing, improving, delivering, refining and supplementing complete business and service models and business and service processes for 17 years.

In this sense, we are part of your think tank for everything that is relevant to the end customer. But we are also part of your production, because what sets us apart is that we also take responsibility for our thinking. It is very important to us to take responsibility for the implementation of our ideas. Leaving you alone with lots of slides and clever recommendations is not our style. We stand by our concepts and are therefore remunerated according to our success!

Steer processes.

Every time an interested party or customer contacts your company, processes are initiated or preceded by processes.

These business processes influence key parameters in your company. Response speed, referral rate, first solution rate, customer satisfaction … In the end, every contact and every business process requires a precise analysis of all these parameters in relation to the one parameter: costs.

You can do this with existing processes, but you can also build and add completely new processes. All business processes taken together then form your business model in perfect coordination with each other.

It is not uncommon for individual processes to be an end in themselves, detached, complicated and not very goal-oriented. There is a better way! And we define what is better for you in advance with you and this then forms the basis for our remuneration.

Companion

Success needs the right people.

Every successful project needs the right people. But searching, finding and training takes time that companies often don’t have. We take over a large part of this process and ensure that skills, team fit and success fit together.

Personnel

One of the biggest challenges is bringing people together for a project in order to be successful as a team. It starts with the search. If this is done incorrectly, the result is not very promising or only very short-term. And “found” does not mean that the performance matches the remuneration or that the person fits into the team. That’s what a trial period is for. Searching, finding, training – it all takes a lot of time. Exactly the time that our clients usually don’t have.

Of course, we cannot solve this challenge with 100% certainty, but we have already gone a long way for you, because every success needs companions and we live from success. So we have already done a lot of the searching and finding for you in terms of content and time … and if you want, the trial period too!

Interim

Over the years, we have built up a network of partner companies and freelance consultants. We integrate employees into our projects via our partner companies according to time and content requirements. In the case of freelance consultants, we do this directly.

You are probably familiar with this classic approach: a freelance consultant is brought in on the basis of their availability and core expertise, paid by the person-day and then takes on the next project. This is perfectly normal for normal consulting firms. Often, the consultants then act “like they were hired by them”. This is not only very questionable in terms of labor law, but also unnecessary. We involve external consultants and stand by this. It is not our job here to “pretend”. It is our job to bring together and coordinate an outstanding team and a first-class set-up of skills. It is our achievement to let the team work together to achieve success.

We cannot expect our partner companies and freelance consultants to share our attitude to successful work as well as our remuneration model. The vast majority of them are paid by us on the basis of traditional daily rates or flat-rate project fees. But you don’t have to worry about that!

It is not uncommon for the entrepreneur himself to be so deeply involved in the day-to-day business that this effort cannot come from within the company itself. catinedo has been supporting companies in restructuring, transformation and growth since 2007 – with Hanseatic pragmatism and clear responsibility.

Foundation & Origin

catinedo GmbH was founded as a stock corporation in October 2007 and changed its legal form to a limited liability company on February 25, 2022. When catinedo came of age, it was relocated to Düsseldorf. The founding shareholder is the entrepreneur, Mr. Ralf Thomas. He has also been CEO of the company since its foundation.

Success takes time. Not a lot or a little time, but time. catinedo is proud of its three-dimensional growth in terms of breadth, depth and sector.

Experience with substance

Started in 1995 in a corporate group to do pioneering work, moved in 1998 to help shape a small customer service start-up into one of the top 10 in the industry, and from 2002 finally became divisional director for corporate development at Germany's largest listed BPM provider. As founder and CEO of catinedo, the long-standing experienced specialist for restructuring and transformation with a focus on 'customer centricity' brings a very broad spectrum of skills and experience to catinedo.

Flexible in step with the customer

Ralf Thomas has also been Managing Director of a software company for enterprise software since 2018 and CEO of a listed software development company since 2022. As a medium-sized company, catinedo has the time to adapt to the speed of projects and clients and not have to think solely from one quarterly result to the next.

Holistic view

On the one hand, the spectrum has been expanded to include important focal points. Restructuring, reorganization, rebuilding parts of companies or entire companies have now become core business in all their facets, just as the services within the projects have been significantly expanded. Starting with individual business processes, catinedo is working more and more holistically. Not always right from the start, but more and more often in the course of progressively successful projects.

Diversity of clients

In the third dimension, it is the implementations in the most diverse sectors that determine catinedo's growth.
